Choice

What will it be? Do you choose stability and comfort or adventure and uncertainty? Do you choose the known or the unknown? Do you choose companionship or possible loneliness? What can you live with long term? Are you strong enough to live with your choices and not despair for what could have been? What price are you willing to pay?

Will it be the red pill or the blue, Anne? Time is running out.

Price willing to pay: i dont think we realize the absolute value of price until the time comes to pay.

    Thanks Tiny Seal,
Well said, one can’t know the true value of the price, perhaps not even when one is paying for it. But one thing is for sure, there’s always a price to pay!

At a meta-level, would you rather have the choice, or would you rather be the slumdog that has to fight for survival at every step and never asks these questions of himself?

    pseudopseudointellectual,
🙂 Goes without saying that having choices is way better than not having them at all. But, the slumdog’s reality is not the same shared by the one with choices. So, taken separately, each has to face his/her own issues within that reality. I don’t quite buy the argument about putting one’s foot in a less fortunate person’s shoes because I think the shoe never fits. The perceived issues are typically over or under estimated.

I believe and have found that making a choice down the trodden path is boring true, but offers you a freedom in a twisted way – don’t have to worry or have a care of what tomorrw brings. You are free to live life now that this uncertainity is taken care of! I consider that a prize enough to swallow the bitter pill – doesn’t matter Blue or Red or whatever other color it is coded to….

Takes an effort to tame the mind…not an easy task believe me!and very painful too…

    Rendezvous,
Thanks for the comments. I see what you’re saying and it makes sense but I sometimes wonder about that life where you are constantly taming your mind and not letting it dream. What’s a better life, to live a short life where you do all the crazy things you want to do or to live a long and carefully managed one? I’m re-examining the answers I thought I had.
